London Fashion Week Part Three: Our LFW outifts and Exhibition Jewellery
On Monday at LFW I wore a vintage cream (apparently reflective…) shirt, H! by Henry Holland leathery shorts, Markus Lupfer bag and Office shoes. The lovely Claire Turner (my LFW date) Blazer from H&M , shirt from American Apparel , feathered brooch from Urban Outfitters , leathery trousers from H&M and boots from Topshop . Comfort Station’s gorgeous book and jewellery display, an idea which I will so be stealing in the future… I am so lusting after these Michelle Lowe-Holder leather cuffs, I smell a DIY project… Today is the last day of Womenswear LFW, so we’re spending the day pretending to be important, going to shows and trying to show up at the million (extreme exaggeration but still needs organising!) parties we’ve been invited to… So expect many a post this week!

Many years ago I styled the displays for a beautiful jewellery store in George Street, Sydney called Opal Fields. Of course this shop was filled with delicious opals. This is an image of one of my displays. I had a three tier wedding cake ‘fake of course’ with polystyrene on the inside which I shaped into the perfect shape of a cake (rounded on the corners) and I had a patisserie cover the blocks with real icing and before the icing set I positioned the rings and jewels. All the jewels needed to be removed in the evenings to go into the safe, so I put a little flower in the tiny holes till the morning. I will try and find the other images of the other , I remember I had little tarts adorned with gems and gorgeous lilies floating in a water with the opals sitting in the centre of flowers and another had a pair of “to die for” vintage shoes sitting on a beautiful vintage dress and I positioned the jewels on the top of the shoe.
